About Katherine
Writer & Musician
Dr. Katherine Wallace is a writer, performer, musicologist, and educator whose love of words and music unite in her stories and songs.
Her writing for children encompasses fiction and non-fiction picture books for the Christian and general markets. She is the author of Mirelle’s Mirror (Marshall Cavendish 2023). Her children’s poetry is published in the anthology A Book of Hugs (2020).
With advanced degrees in literature and music, Dr. Wallace has taught and served as academic advisor at universities in Canada, Texas, Singapore, and Australia. She has published and presented her academic research world-wide. A specialist in Medieval and Renaissance music, Katherine has recorded for the Ablaze, Arktos, and Catsprey labels. She continues to work as a private music teacher and guest lecturer, and performs regularly in classical and contemporary music spheres.
Katherine is grateful to be able to express her faith through music and writing. She has served as music and worship director in Christian churches in the many places she has lived, and continues to lead worship at her home church in Singapore. Katherine has written and directed curriculum for Sunday school, VBS, and youth camps, as well as scripts and songs for church and community choirs and music-theatre productions.
When she’s not writing or performing, Katherine can be found bird-watching, playing games with her family, or curling up with a good book. She currently divides her time between Canada, Australia, and Singapore.
